I am writing this petition on my behalf and so many others in my position. In my case, I have Multiple sclerosis and am permanently disabled. I owe close to $77,000 to Sallie Mae in private loans and there is no law mandating anything regarding my condition. I only get a minimal income from SSD and SSI per month and this takes more than half of my income to repay. I am a single mother with an incurable disease and it seems no one can help me because it is not a law. If there is anyone else experiencing my stress and "pain," please sign. I will no longer standby and not speak of the injustices these very wealthy corporations such as Sallie Mae inflict on those less fortunate as myself. I voted for positive change and I expect it in this area as well.
