Several studies have linked the use of neonicotinoids (Neonics) to the death of the honey bees. These pesticides have been linked to the mysterious “colony collapse disorder” (CCD). This type of pesticide has already been banned by Germany and France, where the main producer is headquartered. The food industry should be more closely regulated to ensure that US practices and the practices of our largest providers are not dangerous to human beings and have minimal impacts on the environment.
