Opioid overdoses have reached an all time high in our nation. It is time for federal action to stop this epidemic. There is a drug, Naloxone, that can save someone from a drug overdose if applied within the first few minutes. However, this is not always available without prescription in all states.
We must call upon Congress to pass legislation to make Naloxone readily available to the public across the nation. If we were to have this legislation passed, we could see deaths from opioids drop significantly. We save families from having to go through a devastating loss of a child to overdosing. We could see our nation as a better place.
