pass a law/Constitutional Amendment: Election day is a FEDERAL HOLIDAY-workers get that or the day before off to vote.

Created by B.R. on November 03, 2014

In order to support a fair democratic process in which all of our voices can be heard, we must ensure that NO CITIZEN BE DENIED the right to cast his or her ballot on federal election days. Having the full day off of work to get to the polls will remove one potential obstacle while enshrining our core belief that an individual's vote is the single most important civic duty a person can do, for it affects every other aspect of every life in this great country.

To aide workplace functions, employers may opt to let employees have THEIR CHOICE of election Tuesday to vote or the previous Monday off to vote early so that they can work on Tuesday.

This law or Constitutional Amendment should not be construed as changing or eliminating any other early voting or absentee ballot laws.
