A lot of my fellow Americans have proposed that the Obama administration take steps that amount to passing laws in other countries, where doing what the petition calls for falls in the jurisdiction of, to our surprise, local democratically-elected governments.
This is ridiculous. Those laws are being made without our say, which is government without our representation. We must petition Obama to confidently (and with a straight face) begin passing laws which target the citizens of other countries.
