Pass legislation abolishing the 2nd amendment on the right to bear arms. It is totally out of context in 21st century.

The 2nd amendment was written at a time when people were forming well regulated militia for the security of the state and to deter foreign invasions. We now have one of the best and the finest armed forces in the world doing this job of protecting USA against foreign invasions. It is one thing to have a small fire arm at home for self-protection. But when this law is resulting in increasing gun violence and mass shootings because of which many innocent little children and adults are losing their lives, it is time to act. The 2nd amendment is totally out of context in the 21st century. It is time to pass legislation abolishing the 2nd amendment on the right to bear arms.
