Though the United States is a developed country with numerous freedoms for its people, many individuals still face persecution and victimization via human trafficking. Men, women and children all over the country are at risk of being trafficked and forced to complete agricultural labor, domestic service, or sexual acts for little to no pay with no opportunity to leave the lifestyle. We petition the government to write and pass legislation to create a national commission for investigating, identifying, and recovering the victims of human trafficking. Further, we petition the government to provide federal assistance to these men, women and children who have suffered at the hands of traffickers.
