Pass legislation that requires mandatory labeling on all genetically modified food.

Under current regulation we do not have the ability to know about the food we are eating.
There is currently no labeling, no regulation, and no human health studies on GM food, yet 75% of food consumers eat is genetically engineered.(GMA) Americans have the right both democratically and constitutionally to know what is in their food.
Although claims that bioengineered food is "not inherently dangerous" there has been no human health studies, no carcinogenicity tests, and no long term health studies on the health effects of GM food. A recent study shows that insecticides from genetically engineered corn were showing up in the umbilical cord of pregnant women. (NCBI.gov)
