Pass legislation requiring an officer to be present at every public school in order to prevent massacres

Created by T.G. on April 09, 2014

Yet again another massacre occurs at a public school. This time in PA. This is another sign that public schools need increased security: guards (officers), metal detectors, and increased awareness of the unstable.

We the people propose that the White House introduce legislation that would make it a requirement for public schools to have at least one police officer present at every school. And we also request the president to take a look at the suggestions listed prior to this second paragraph. Parents should feel safe when sending their children to school, not afraid that they will be the victim of a mentally unstable maniac who has no regard for human life.

We get stories of staff putting themselves in danger/sacrificing-themselves after these disasters. What if they didn't need to?
