Currently many day care facilities know that parents have to work and therefore they can charge what ever prices they chose. I think that there should be some sort of price gouging laws enacted saying day cares can only charge up to a certain percentage of a persons household income.
In my area in the DC metro area I have seen costs of day care range from 400-800 per child.
I ask that the president or congress get a handle on this want to create jobs well there are many single women out there that would rather collect unemployment and social services then work when she knows that majority of her check is going to day care services
