Pass a national anti-bullying law

Year after year, children are bullied everywhere. Everyday over 100,000 students in the United States stay home for the day. They not only stay home because of fear, but because of confusion, confusion on why this is happening to them. They are no longer able, nor do they want to continue living, in 2007, suicide was the THIRD leading cause of death for young people ages 15 to 24. It is affecting children everywhere, and there is no law stopping the bullies. The main point of this law is not to bully the bullies, but to educate the youth and the rest of the population on the devastating effects of bullying, and to protect those who are being bullied against the bullies, the torture, and the negligence.
