We don't have a democracy for lacking only one amendment to the US Constitution - an Amendment to enact National Referenda and Initiatives. We can vote on issues directly in 22 States to control the corrupt and/or incompetent politicians. Why can't we do this on the Federal Ballot?
Why don't we put some of the most important issues on the ballot for the people to decide like bringing the troops home, balancing the budget, changing our tax rates to what WE want to pay, not what THEY demand us to pay? They abolished slavery, didn't they?
Why don't we allow the People to propose the laws and then vote on a National Basis to control our own destiny? Only because we have never demanded it. Demand Direct Democracy NOW by signing this petition.
