Congressional Reform Act of 2012
1 Congress will receive compensation only while in office. Congress' retirement plan will be merged with Social Security and will conform with the laws governing plans available to the public.
2 Congressional pay will rise only by the lower of CPI or 3%.
3 Congress will abide by the exact same health care laws and systems as the American people.
4 Congress must abide equally by all laws imposed on US Citizens.
5 All Congressional benefits will publicly renegotiated by 1/1/2014.
6 Federal Tax Codes will be revised to be no longer than 200 pages each for individuals, corporations and other entities.
7 Each new federal regulation will eliminate two prior regulations.
8 Enacting a deficit budget will disqualify all members of that congress from re-election.
