I am an Alumni of UCSB. I lived in Isla Vista for 2 years and loved every second. My 11 year old daughter is already looking into colleges. UCSB is one of her choices. This recent tragedy just hits too close to home.
There is something WE can do. Almost 90% of Americans are in favor of sensible gun reform. As you know, 75% of NRA members are in favor of it.
There is something WE can do.
My request is to SHUT THE GOVERNMENT DOWN. We have contemplated shutting down the government for our disagreements. WHY NOT SHUT IT DOWN TO GET THINGS WE AGREE ON.
I am not sure if sensible gun reform would have prevented this tragedy. But any step we can take to making gun ownership less a part of this country's tragic history, the better.
How many more children must die.
