With the divisiveness of the recent election, their has been a spike in hate crimes committed across the country. Those supporting Republicans beaten in the street for being White, and those harassed, bullied and intimated because they were African-American, Mexican-America, Muslim, Asian, or apart of the LGBTQ communities. Our American values our diametrically opposed to these type of heinous actions. There needs to be a clear stand from our government on Federal, State and Local levels, that if you are caught performing any hateful acts that threatens American citizens safety and freedoms based on the color of their skin, their ethnicity, their gender identity or their religion that justice will be served for such un-American and un-Patriotic acts.
