Most recipients of Social Security with a birthday from the 21st through the end of any month receive their benefit check on the fourth Wednesday of each month. This means that in December of 2011 there are (not only) five (5) weeks between checks for these Social Security payees this; but, also, they will not receive their checks until AFTER the Christmas holiday. Paying the benefits during the previous week should have a positive effect on the nations economy by giving these people a little cash to spend for the holiday: and, should not really cost the government anything.
