We need to pay down our national debt. A good start would be to eliminate the penny. Instead round up every purchase every day by every American to the nearest nickel. If your meal cost $15.82 then you would be charged $15.85. The difference is minimal. The taxes collected would be used solely towards paying against the National Debt. It would be a great first step in instilling faith in our dollar and our economy .
