As we all sit and watch our lives being controlled by the people we elect, or did not elect, it seems like we are watching an ivory tower as laws are dictated to us by people making over 5 times the amount of money we are ourselves. This stated I put forth that we make a constitutional amendment that Senators and Congressman only receive 1 dollar more than what our country's current poverty level is. If they want to appeal to the american public, they should be made to live as the worse off. I also hold that if they refuse to do their jobs and let our government shut down that they should be inflicted with the same crisis we would face if our business shut down. Freeze their pay, and if they can't settle within 1 months time, their jobs are lost due to ineptitude.
