We the people ask the federal government to Change an existing Administration policy:

Pay change for members of congress and the senate

Created by B.W. on May 15, 2016

Our legislators make several times more than the average American makes. In order to assure that they have our best interests in mind, it is important that they earn what the average person which they represent does. Therefore, members of congress should earn the median income of the district which they represent. In my district this would mean Congressman Markwayne Mullin would earn $27,885. Senators should earn the median income of the state which they represent. This would mean Senator Inhofe would earn around $40,000. There is no reason why Mr. Mullin should earn more than six times what the average person he represents does. In the past 8 years we have seen congress flat out refuse to do their jobs, and even go as far as to shut down the government. It's time to cut their pay.
