Congress members and their families enjoy benefits paid for by the American people for the rest of their lives. However, this year they will only work 129 out of 365 days. Part-time workers in America (other than Congress) do not receive health benefits or retirement. These people couldn't even cancel their vacation to decide on a war.
We the people suggest paying Congress the median income for Americans, and at an hourly wage. They may regain their benefits by working full time, and their constituents should be allowed to have input on their performance periodically.
For far too long Congress has been working for the corporations and not for "we the people." This plan will get them back on track and restore our democracy!
