Congress should be paid the minimum federal wage for work performed. This would encompass all work performed while on capitol hill as it relates to voting, debates and time spent talking to actual constituents but not lobbyists.
This will ensure congress is truly working for the people and their best interest and not for themselves. Constituent voices will be heard above all else, because congress will be paid to listen to the small voice of the many.
