Congress should not have the right to dictate what the American People will pay them. All members of Congress should be paid the same amount as a Commisioned Officer of a no higher grade than Captain.
To prevent undue hardship for the Congress members they should be provided on base housing for themselves and their families. They should also be required to reside in said housing while they are serving the People of the United States of America with no exeptions.
In addition they should be allowed and required to use the same health care provided for our military service members, if its good enough for the people willing to die for the country then it should be good enough for them.
Finally they should garner the same amount of leave days as service members and not one day more.
