Pay cut for congress due to poor performance and to send a message to the public that they understand.

This petition is for congress to take a 10% pay cut due to poor performance. Congress needs to rally the public and show that they understand the hard times that Americans have been facing for the last 5+ years. In the past years there have been multiple threats of shutdowns from both parties. This has cause damage to our credit rating and to the confidence in the ability for our Government to lead. A 10% paycut would be put in place to show Americans that they understand and are willing to give back. Congress is suppose to be leading America not taking from the people. The loyalities of congress should be for the people not for their parties. A 10% cut isn't much to a group of millionaires but it is to America.
