Pay Down U.S. Debt by Auction of Trillions in "Artifacts" and "Collectables" held by the U.S. Government.

Created by D.B. on December 18, 2012

The U.S. Government holds trillions of dollars worth of paintings, artifacts, furniture, memorabilia - in the name of the "People". Much of this is rarely if ever seen by the "People". Some of these items have skyrocketed in value. We petition Congress to order the auction of 25% of these items in an effort to pay down the National Debt. We are not talking about those items that are dear to the American People and on exhibit at the Smithsonian and other institutions, but simply those billions and perhaps trillions of artifacts in warehouses and storage, and those only enjoyed by the few.
