Costs of college degrees are skyrocketing. Those pursuing education degrees are in school 5+ years, making the cost even higher than those pursuing regular 4-year degrees. Teachers get underpaid and it makes the extra education barely worth it when the teacher doesn't make enough to pay off their loans.
Educating our children is one of the most important goals in society. Children are our future and those educating them should be compensated for it. Create an incentive program involving grants for any education major who completes their program. Reduce the amount of lingering student debt in teachers.
