Pay its interns!

The Administration should pay its interns such as those in the White House Internship Program. Right now, these unpaid internships (with no housing) are essentially for the rich only. Qualified people who do not come from means cannot take advantage of these great opportunities for civic engagement, public service, and advancing one's career. This is a sad legacy for the Administration to continue, especially when President Obama rightly noted, upon winning the 2012 Election, that the founding idea of America is "if you're willing to work hard, it doesn't matter who you are or where you come from ... whether you're ... rich or poor... you can make it here in America if you're willing to try." To keep that idea alive, we have to make our great opportunities live options for all!
