pay no wages congress and the senate for each day the country is shut down

Created by J.P. on September 23, 2013

When agreements on the federal budget can not be reached by our elected officials in a timely manner the repercussions are harmful to all the citizens of America. Unwillingness to compromise across the party lines have created an environment where it is common politics to risk our reputation to our debtors and shutdown vital programs that citizens of this country depend on all in a game of political chicken. Congress and the senate are elected to do a job. Unwillingness to work together to pass a budget is a violation of job duties and should be corrected by withholding pay each day the country is in default. Additionally the following fiscal year all congress and the senates wages will be reduced by 20 percent as a result of not performing their job function and failing to pass a budget.
