Businesses pay fees ranging from 1 to 4.5% based on the type of payment cards used: the reward cards are the higher cost ones. To not lose business, prices are raise to include this cost. Low cost cards customers are therefore paying more for their purchases which is unfair. Some states make it illegal to discount based on the type of Card used. These laws are unfair to this category of customers.
