Austin has never really been like the the rest of Texas. It is like an island of weird surrounded by miles and miles of crazy, as has been proven by the large number of Texans signing the petition to secede from the United States of America. We ask that you allow the City of Austin and the surrounding metropolitan area to peacefully secede from the State of Texas and become the 51st state in the union.
