Peacefully allow Northern California and Southern Oregon to withdraw from the U.S. and form Republic of Jefferson

This petition is to allow the withdrawal of northern California and southern Oregon and peacefully merge into a New
Free and Independent nation to be called the Republic of Jefferson, with the capital to be located in Yreka, currently in the State of California. This would include the county of Sacramento, requiring the ending of Sacramento as the capital of California and removing it to San Jose. The new Republic of Jefferson would have control of its borders with the United States and would be able to administer its affairs internally and internationally as its new government would see fit. The Republic of Jefferson would be allowed to send ambassadors to Washington DC to represent the new government in good faith and friendship.
