Movements to annex our friendly neighbor to the North have been prevalent throughout our history, even some of the Founding Fathers wished to see Canada as part of our Union. Nowadays we have very close ties to Canada in all fields from military to economic. However all ties with Canada would become much more close in a union much like that in the European Union. Both the United States and Canada would be much more prepared for the 21st century together than separate. Easier resource access, tax revenue and investment access are several reasons why peaceful annexation would be a good idea.
