Most of we Brazilians are sick of our government, soaked with corruption and corporatism where politicians seek nothing but your own interests (which is mainly to get rich at our expenses).
So we fully admit our incompetence on electing politicians with unblemished reputation and ask to be part of USA as an state, we are confident that our HDI will skyrocket in a few decades.
No big deal in declaring English as its one and only official language, we are confident very few people will speak out against replacing their native language by a truly potential future where our GDP per capita (PPP) might reach near $ 50,000.
