Peacefully grant the city of Bloomington, Indiana to withdraw from the state of Indiana & remain part of the USA

Created by K.M. on November 14, 2012

Bloomington, Indiana continues to be surrounded by a state that is out of touch with this particular community, in cultural, intellectual, and political ways. The city of Bloomington traditionally celebrates a more liberal view of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness as determined by the conscience of the individual rather than the dictates of the right-wing majority in the state. Bloomington's economy is strong enough that it could make a viable state. We therefore petition to be allowed to secede from Indiana should Indiana be successful in its secession from the United States.

We would like to annex Brown county as well to remain part of the USA.
