The City of El Paso Texas and a large section of West Texas have been consistently been left out of the policy making of the state. El Paso has been called the "lame cousin" because of our more liberal views. If being open to immigrants from all over the world and accepting to all different types of beliefs is lame then we're as lame as they come. If Texas should somehow be allowed to secede from the Union, we request El Paso and other like-minded cities in West Texas be granted permission to join together and become an independent state. In doing so West Texans will be able to accurately voice our opinions and be a region which is more recognized for its independent, original, and patriotic views.
