The residents of the City of Minneapolis take this grave action in an attempt to wrest sovereignty back unto itself so as to secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and to our posterity and our need to govern ourselves with kittens as our chosen rulers.
Hennepin County has overstepped it Constitutional authority and now represents a clear and present danger to the residents of Minneapolis and so we the undersigned assert our right to peacefully withdraw from Hennepin County and to seek out a new means of securing our future liberty and economic prosperity. We demand the our libraries back, our homes not foreclosed upon, our treasury not robbed by unscrupulous sports team owners, and our sheriffs offices staffed with kittens.
