San Antonio, Texas is one of the fastest growing and most economically successful cities in the United States, and boasts a large population committed to civil, religious, and political freedoms. Along with its fellow petitioner and sister city of Austin, it stands again any impositions upon the city and its citizens by less liberally minded Texans who wish to succeed from the nation. In the event that Texas is successful in the current bid to secede from the U.S, it is vital that San Antonio remain in the union. Be it resolved that San Antonio shall be allowed to stand alone from Texas and remain in the United States of America.
