There is an existing precedent as when West Virginia withdrew from the State of Virginia and was readmitted to the United States. Since there are those within the State of Indiana who recklessly seek to withdraw from the United States, we wish to remain within the United States and leave them to their disconnected fate.
The same government that determined that what Indiana seeks to do is illegal (1860) also determined that what we seek to do is legal (1863).
