IBEW/NECA Trust Funds and Local 11 are using the Collective Bargaining Agreement in Los Angeles to overpower/strong arm micro/small businesses from bidding on LAUSD jobs. The CBA allows for the Trust Funds to stipulate payment of "contributions" at nearly 50% of each employees gross monthly income on any and all LAUSD jobs. District prequalified licensed micro/small businesses and active industry contractors are unable to bid due to the CBA. For the micro/small business industry to flourish in Los Angeles, the CBA needs to be deemed null and void giving any and every qualified contractor the opportunity to work and thrive. No micro/small business can withstand the financial burden placed by the CBA. Employees will still be paid per the required pay rate enforced by the DIR not the Unions.
