The Klingon Empire hereby announces its intention to withdraw from the Khitomer Accords. The alliance set forth in the Accords has been dishonored by the Federation's refusal to participate in the war against the Cardassian Union. The invasion of Cardassia Prime is necessary to contain the clear and present danger of Dominion influence. The Federation shows its weakness by hiding behind its treaty with the Cardassians.
The alliance has eroded traditional Klingon values set forth by our founding father, Kahless the Unforgettable. The rights of Klingon citizens to glory in battle are being infringed upon by the UFP's endless calls for peace, and the imposition of guaranteed affordable health care has denied many warriors entrance to Sto-Vo-Kor by preventing their honorable death in combat.
