In the rousing spirit of secession that is sweeping the nation, we now petition that the fictional town of Pallet Town be granted the right to secede from the also-fictional region of Kanto. Kanto continues to suffer economic difficulties stemming from the Indigo Plateau's neglect to reform Team Rocket and incompetent trainers. Given that Pallet Town maintains a small population and is the only town in the region with a functional laboratory, it is practically feasible for Pallet Town to withdraw from the region, and to do so would protect its citizens' standard of living and re-secure their rights and liberties in accordance with the original ideas and beliefs of our legendary Pokemon which are no longer being reflected by the Elite Four.
