Peacefully grant sovereignty and the right to withdraw from the United States to Foggy Pond Farm.

Peacefully allow our remote 40 acres to secede from the union and form our own new nation which will be a shining beacon on the hill for all others to follow. I don't wish to be party to an out of control federal government. We're pretty remote and surrounded by swamp and trees, so I think I'd be able to defend us against invaders, both foreign and domestic. Plus it's really cold so we're probably not very high on the list of places to invade and occupy. If granted sovereignty, we promise not to say I told you so when the US economy collapses. That said, we do also demand easements to use all American public roads, because, let's face it, it would be hard to get around otherwise. I'll also be filing for secession from Minnesota, as it voted for Rick Santorum, but that's another story.
