In 2009, the Alaska legislature unanimously passed a resolution reminding the federal government that the people and the states have sovereignty under the 10th amendment. The resolution demanded that the federal government cease and desist in all mandates beyond the scope of its constitutionally-delegated powers.
The federal government has completely disregarded our requests, and Alaskans have been increasingly discontented with the feds as we suffer blatant violations to our most basic rights every day.
In light of the federal government’s continued usurpation of power, the citizens of the great state of Alaska request peaceful withdrawal from the union.
