The Tenth Amendment of the Constitution simply states that:
"The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."
As this is clearly being ignored by the National Government, our founding fathers made clear in the Declaration of Independence that the people have recourse:
"...Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, that whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or abolish it, and institute new Government..."
In light of this, we the people of Arizona hereby issue this petition to declare our sovereignty and be free of the Union.
