Peacefully grant the State of Illinois to separate from the greater Chicagoland area and create its own government.

Created by P.F. on November 13, 2012

As a state that almost exclusively differs vastly from Chicagoland in terms of political and socioeconomic views, as well as in terms of ratio of taxes payed vs. tax-funded help received, we feel it is in our best interest at this point to become our own state.

Given the President's oft cited views of the importance of celebrating diverse views and socioeconomic status, we feel he will agree that this disparity is not only irreconcilably disproportionate, but that it also fails to meet his own standards of progressive reform in the light of an ever-changing social tapestry.

We feel that the President will also see this as an opportunity to give a voice to a people whose political views and economic standing has for too long silenced them, and left them wanting in far too many ways.
