A petition for secession from the U.S. for Illinois. It is not likely -- the state would need to be broken up the way Virginia was before the Civil War -- but I want people to know that they are not alone.
If this movement actually happens in a way that doesn't include Illinois, I will vote with my feet and move to a state that is seceding. I no longer want to live in a country where the president personally hates me.
