The United States continues to suffer economic difficulties stemming from the federal government's neglect to reform domestic and foreign spending. United States citizens suffer from blatant abuses of their rights. The current administration has not represented Nebraska's citizens and has turned its back from the United States Constitution, adopted September 17, 1787. Given that the state of Nebraska is financially responsible and self sufficient, it is practically feasible for Nebraska to withdraw from the union. To do so would protect its citizens' standard of living and re-secure their rights and liberties in accordance with the original ideas and beliefs of our founding fathers which are no longer being reflected by the federal government.
