Peacefully grant the State of Ohio to withdraw from the United States of America and create its own NEW government.

This petition asks the American federal government to grant permission to secede from the Union as long as measures, to be decided by both the governments of Ohio and the U.S.A. after this permission is given, are met.
Ohio has the means for economic and political self-sufficiency. With Lake Eerie to the north and the Ohio River to the South, Ohio has trade routes with the rest of the world. The Bureau of Labor also states that Ohio has an unemployment rate at 7.0%, less than the national rate, with growing employment in many areas. Ohio also has a large supply of underground oil and shale that can be used for energy, farm land for the growth of crops and the raising of animal products, and industrial centers throughout the state for the production of manufactured goods.
