Let facts be submitted to the world:
1) US Federal law has usurped the power of the State, even annulling attempts of the State to assist in carrying out Federal law.
3) The Commander in Chief has allowed US soil to be attacked without measurable recourse.
2) The Executive has failed to uphold the law and knowingly allowed illegal weapons to cross national borders into the hands of those hostile to America.
It is our right, it is our duty, to throw off such Government and to provide new Guards. It is inherently wrong and hypocritical to allow the State of Utah to join the Union with a vote, but thereafter forbid it from secession with a similar vote. We petition the Federal Government to allow the State of Utah the opportunity to hold a binding vote to withdraw from the Union.
