Peacefully keep ALL 50 states and DC as part of the Union

In light of the petitons created to call certain states to secede, it is necessary to keep all 50 states and DC in the Union. In 1861, South Carolina seceded from the Union, followed by several other Southern states, causing a Civil War that resulted in hundreds of thousands of deaths. If secession is allowed to go unchecked, then there will be another Civil war, Congress will then have to raise the military budget exponentially and declare martial law, and millions will lose their lives. This will do nothing to help our economy, and will cause it to fall somewhere worse than the Great Depression. Texas Governor Rick Perry called for secession in 2009, but to no avail. Therefore, I call the federal government, including the Supreme Court to enforce the law banning secession.
