Cannabis (marijuana) used medically has several well-documented beneficial effects. Among these are: the amelioration of nausea and vomiting, stimulation of hunger in chemotherapy and AIDS patients, lowered intraocular eye pressure (shown to be effective for treating glaucoma), as well as general analgesic effects (pain reliever). It contains none of the negative effects that synthetic marijuana (spice) contains and should therefore be legalized in not just the state of Mississippi but in all 50 states to allow the people to smoke marijuana instead of spice which is known to have several negative effects.
